Basic Life Support

First Aid Adult CPR/AED

Learn First Aid Adult CPR/AED to recognize and manage a wide range of first aid emergencies, such as bleeding, burns, sprains, fractures, sudden illnesses (e.g., stroke, diabetic emergencies), and environmental emergencies (e.g., heatstroke, hypothermia) and the critical techniques of chest compressions and rescue breaths. You will also learn to safely and effectively use an AED, a portable device that can deliver an electrical shock to the heart to correct certain life-threatening irregular heart rhythms (ventricular fibrillation).
